the free market

Sterile mockery - enter the free market, our protagonist for the moment. Ripping apart all pretences, uncovering flimsy masks, smashing hypocrisy, enchanting.

The show is hit, the spectrum of emotions vast.

Then there are the learnings, take-outs they call them -

  1. Stay focused and get the basics in place
  2. The collective will outperform the fragmented
  3. Create changes to manage changes
  4. Between love and addiction, chose

Ah! Damn the free market.

playing director

Take one; once again. What ended quite a while ago has finally resurfaced. I am back, playing the mad hatter who mumbles away to glory, assuming that people are reading into his thoughts and comprehending the soft nuances of the act. They have a name for me - director! It is a painful business, reluctant leadership always is.

I know of people who are smarter than me.

Take two; it still is once again. Reluctance interferes, distorts and makes indifference appear uncertain. The science of optics was always intriguing, the art is a definite improvement!

... so i'll wait just like all the others and hope that someday someone somewhere gets a desired role

branded professors

They talk brands, they are brands.

The first professor teaches aesthetics, the second practices it. The first professor is comfortable with truants, the second employs monetary penalties. I like the first professor, the second hates me.

If only the second one took himself less seriously!

Obituary

August 7, 2005

Last night it died, strange that it wasn’t even born. Midway between conception and delivery it perished, unsung! Bad timing, that’s the reason for its demise

I am not certain about its origin, and now it does not matter. It did have potential, a tiny spark.

This sums up the tale of the “issue”.

Our condolences.

Adieu!

the country cousin

I've had notions about my rustic roots. Notions based on myths. Last week in class, they told me that’s how brands are built. It did make sense.

The bumpkin in me has opinions, anecdotes, insights, observations and a delicately assumed sense of substance. It’s a delightful display.

break in the clouds

Each rock had a tale, an intricately carved tale. From perched eagles to mating serpents, Abu is soaked in imagery. Not to mention the companion who added to it, she was the native afterall.

Our course started with idlis, then there were jamuns somewhere in the middle and it ended with dal-choorma, burp! Went horse riding, only this time it was me who was taken for a ride, disappointing. The horses had a ball, cream biscuits she fed them, that's just so her.

Somewhere between the koel's song and the squirrel's chatter she got hold of a photographer. Before I could reply to either, we were posing against the hills. Usually I wear a flustered look when posing for pictures, but back there in Abu I outperformed myself, a sheer masterpiece!

For the first time I saw my mind registering trivial details for a poem which had already been written, it's rather confusing and I won't bother with explanations.
